Hotel FAQs

  • What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 10:30am.

  • How do I book a room?
You can book direct via our website at willowbeck-lodge.com or call us on 01228 558 696 for the best available rates.

  • Is breakfast included?
Yes, a freshly prepared breakfast is included in all room bookings, using locally sourced produce wherever possible.

  • Is there parking available?
Yes, free on-site parking is available for all guests.

  • Are pets allowed?
We accept well behaved pets in our bar area, Cedar garden suite and Hazel ground floor room (charges and conditions apply)

  • Is Willowbeck Lodge wheelchair accessible?
Some areas of the lodge are accessible, but please contact us directly to discuss specific needs or requirements before booking.

  • How Do I Get to Willowbeck Lodge?

We are situated off Junction 43 of the M6, you can enter our postcode CA4 8BX into your sat nav, get directions from a map or follow the directions below

Directions are simple.

Drive north on the M6 to Junction 43.
Exit here and follow the roundabout right round east towards Newcastle / Hexham on the A69.
Travelling south, its the 1st left onto the A69 at Junction 43. It is a dual carriageway.
Take the 1st right into Scotby. It is signposted.
Approaching from the North East follow the A69.
As you approach Carlisle , you pass Carlisle Golf Club on your left then The Waterloo Pub / Indian Restaurant.
The road becomes dual carriageway. Take 1st left after the pub onto Scotby Road.
Follow the Scotby Road for half a mile, go under the railway bridge and turn 1st right onto Lambley Bank.
Willowbeck Lodge is on the left, just round the bend in the road.

  • Do you have Electric vehicle charging stations?

Willowbeck Lodge offers three charging points to electricvehicle owners.

Two are dedicated to Tesla cars, the other is a universal charging point.We are the closest charging destination to Junction 43 of the M6 motorway.

We've listen to our customer feedback regarding overnight charging prices and have subsequently revised our tariff accordingly.

Please note. The prices below are fixed. We cannot honour prices from other 3rd party websites.

Full overnight charge (from 20%) - £45.00

Part charge (from 50%) - £30.00

Finis Restaurant

  • What are your restaurant opening times?
Lunch is served from 12:00pm – 2:00pm and dinner from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Early evening specials are also available — follow us on social media for weekly updates.

  • Do I need to book a table?
Booking is highly recommended, especially at weekends. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.

  • Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes, please let us know in advance of your visit and we’ll be happy to accommodate.

  • Is your food locally sourced?
Absolutely. We’re proud to champion local Cumbrian suppliers in all our dishes.

Can I just come for a drink?
Yes – our new bar area is open for drinks whether you're dining with us or not.


Venue Hire

  • Can I hire Willowbeck Lodge exclusively?

Yes – Willowbeck Lodge is available for exclusive hire for private events, including weddings, Christmas parties, birthdays, and corporate gatherings.

  • How many people can you accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 40 guests for seated dining. For overnight stays, the lodge has nine bedrooms available.

  • How do I enquire about private hire?

  • Do you offer bespoke packages?
Yes, all events are tailored to your needs, from the menu and entertainment to decorations and timings.

  • Do you offer accommodation discounts for private hire guests?
Yes – we offer exclusive accommodation rates when you hire the lodge for your event.
